Three rows
Left on the collar. They should be done today at lunch if I am lucky. The steeks were not as bad as I had feared. Mind you they need a little work due to all of the moving I am doing with the garment. I tried it on after I cut the steeks and before I started the ribbing. Too long in the shoulders so I made my own adjustments and didn't do much to alter the the ribbing. I basically picked up one stitch in each of the 1st steek stitches and then picked up the stitches that were on holders. Then I made sure I had an even numbers of stitches around and went to town. That was it. Here are the pics. My daughter wants one in red and blue. It will get added to the list. I'm not sure about the wool and the six year old though. There is this thing called laundry that she generates a lot of. But we'll see. I may try the harlot's machine sewn steek on the next one to see if that makes it a bit more stable for her and then maybe I could use an acrylic that would be a bit more child friendly. Anyone got any ideas on that? OK- Pics...

Holy cow the colorwork. Craziness! =)

The vest is looking great. I haven't tried steeks yet, and I think they are a little out of my range just now...something to maybe try in the distant future I'm afraid.

Its looking wonderful!! I can't swear to how it will hold up against steaking but the Caron Simply Soft is a nice acrylic, in that it isn't scratchy, it has a nice drap and best of all, doesn't squeek when you knit it up!
